1. Warranty period and conditions

Buffet Crampon instruments purchased from an authorized dealer in Japan are supplied with a Warranty Certificate and a User Registration Card. The warranty period is one (1) year from the date of purchase.

To be eligible for warranty service, please complete and return the User Registration Card to Buffet Crampon Japan. Your instrument must be registered in the Buffet Crampon Japan customer registration database. Instruments that have not been registered are, in principle, not eligible for warranty service.

The Warranty Certificate issued by Buffet Crampon Japan is valid only in Japan.

When requesting warranty service, please present the Warranty Certificate together with the instrument.

The Warranty Certificate cannot be reissued. Please keep it in a safe place.

2. Exclusions from warranty coverage

Repairs will be subject to a charge, even during the warranty period, in any of the following cases:

  • The Warranty Certificate is not presented.
  • The date of purchase, customer’s name or dealer’s stamp is missing from the Warranty Certificate.
  • The User Registration Card has not been returned and the instrument has not been registered with Buffet Crampon Japan.
  • Damage or malfunction caused by fire, natural disaster, including flooding, earthquake or lightning, or by an accident.
  • The instrument has been repaired, modified or disassembled by anyone other than Buffet Crampon Japan Technical Support.
  • Cracking of the wooden body of a clarinet occurring more than one month after the date of purchase.
  • Cracking of the wooden body of an oboe.
  • Cracking of the body of an instrument made with Green LinE material.

3. Shipping and handling

Regardless of whether the repair is covered by the warranty, all shipping and packaging costs associated with sending the instrument for repair and returning it to the customer shall be borne by the customer.

4. Additional provisions

This warranty provides free repair service in accordance with the period and conditions stated in the Warranty Certificate. It does not restrict any rights the customer may have under applicable law.
