On 23 September, marking the anniversary of John Coltrane's birth, we pay tribute to one of the greatest figures in the history of jazz. With pianist Carl-Henri Morisset, we revisit an iconic repertoire, bringing together essential compositions and improvisation inspired by Coltrane's world. A concert shaped by intensity, spirituality and musical freedom, at the Buffet Crampon showroom.
Oboé e Piano em Português is an artistic project dedicated to the creation, dissemination, and promotion of the Portuguese repertoire for oboe and piano. Launched in 2021, its mission is to champion contemporary Portuguese music through the commissioning of new pieces, world premieres, and creative collaborations between composers and performers. This performance pays tribute to the richness of Portuguese culture and to the role of music in shaping identity and critical thought. The programme presented is composed entirely of works by Portuguese composers. More than just a concert, Oboé e Piano em Português offers a dialogue between tradition and innovation, between artistic creation and the audience.
