The professional English horn

The Prestige English Horn shares a lot with the Buffet Crampon professional oboes: its exceptional acoustic qualities, its precision of intonation make it an instrument that perfectly meets the requirements of orchestral or ensemble musicians. The new removable low B flat extension, positioned between the lower body and the bell, allows B and B flat to be played chromatically thanks to the addition of a B flat key to the left hand. the extension blends into the body of the instrument using the design of the carbon wire ferrule already present on the bell.

Roundness and delicacy

This Prestige model is defined by a well-defined sound, full of woody roundness and delicacy. Each note develops at will to reach the desired amplitude, thanks to the comfort and stability of the instrument with a high register that is particularly pure and pleasant to handle. It offers a fluid transition from oboe to English horn thanks to its light weight, ergonomic keywork and a bore in line with the brand’s oboes.

Amplitude

Played in the greatest orchestras in the world, the Prestige English horn is the undisputed reference for this instrument. It is recognized for its beautiful warmth of sound, its great amplitude and its natural projection which allow artists to express themselves in the largest rooms.
