A performer know for her vast chamber music repertoire as well as for her commitment to the performance of music from the 20th and 21st centuries, Stacey has been described as a performer of “vast musicality and a beautiful sound”.
Stacey is active in all aspects of music making. She has performed in recital across America and Europe,including at New York’s Carnegie Hall and at several ICA Conventions. She has extensive experience in orchestral music.
She serves as Principal Clarinet with the Florida Philharmonic,the Gulfshore Opera Orchestra, the Opera Naples Festival Orchestra, bass clarinet for the Sarasota Opera orchestra, bass and Eb clarinet with the Fort Myers Philharmonic. She is the artistic director of and Solo Clarinet for the Reflections Chamber Ensemble.
She has served as Principal Clarinet with the Opera Tampa orchestra and second/Eb with the West Coast Symphony, now the Sarasota Orchestra. She performed frequently with the Florida Orchestra for many years.
Stacey teaches at Florida Southern College, and is also a faculty member/performing artist at the InterHarmony International Music Festival in Acqui Terme, Italy.
Stacey earned an MA from the University of California, San Diego. Her teachers include Mitchell Lurie, Michelle Zukovsky, Kalman Bloch and William Powell. Stacey is a Buffet Performing Artist and a Vandoren Artist/clinician
