He graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts and completed the same graduate school. He studied clarinet under Kazuichi Nishimura, the late Jiro Murase, and Rainer Muller=van Lechum. He is currently the Deputy Principal Player of the Osaka Symphony Orchestra and a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Education, Yamaguchi University.
